Re: Blue Faery Leadership Transition Statement

Blue Faery is entering an important new chapter, grounded in the same mission and

commitment that have guided our organization since its founding.

After years of extraordinary leadership and service, our President and Founder, Andrea Wilson

Woods, will be transitioning from her leadership role at the end of 2026. Andrea's vision,

passion, and deeply personal commitment to the liver cancer community created Blue Faery

and have shaped the organization into what it is today. We are enormously grateful for all she

has built and for the countless patients, caregivers, and families whose lives have been touched

by her work.

The Blue Faery Board of Directors is thoughtfully planning for this transition and for the

organization's next chapter. As part of that process, the Board is considering the leadership

structure and resources that will best position Blue Faery to build upon Andrea's remarkable

legacy and continue expanding its impact.

Throughout this transition, our mission remains unchanged: to prevent, treat, and cure primary

liver cancer through research, education, and advocacy. Our commitment to the patients and

families we serve remains at the heart of every decision we make.

We look forward to sharing more about Blue Faery's next chapter in the new year. For now, we

are focused on both ensuring a thoughtful and seamless transition and celebrating Andrea's

extraordinary contributions to Blue Faery and the liver cancer community.
