Read Blue Faery's updated HCC Patient Education Brochure

12 August 2015

One of Blue Faery's most important goals is educating liver cancer patients about their disease. When we began our organization, our first project was to create an HCC Patient Education Brochure because no such document existed in 2003. Our brochure has gone through many revisions over the years. With the assistance of BioCentric Inc, we are thrilled to debut our 2015 edition.

Remember, our HCC brochures are free to all patients, their families and their healthcare providers. Due to our generous donors, you will not pay any shipping costs. If you want one brochure or 100 brochures, please email Andrea Wilson.

World Hepatitis Day

28 July 2015

This July 28th marks the 6th annual World Hepatitis Day (WHD), an opportunity to raise awareness about viral hepatitis and come together to share our successes and strategize about our challenges. WHD provides a platform to mobilize greater support for our continued work toward better surveillance and prevention programs and improved access to diagnosis and treatment through focused governmental and nongovernmental action. Globally, over 400 million people are living with viral hepatitis, and the World Health Organization estimates over 1.4 million people around the world die each year as a result of viral hepatitis. Hepatitis B and/or hepatitis C are the leading causes of primary liver cancer aka Hepatocellular Carcinoma.
