Blue Faery receives Bayer Healthcare grant
22 October 2011

Blue Faery is proud to announce that we are the recipient of a Bayer Healthcare Pharmaceuticals grant in the amount of $10,000. The grant will fund an educational program titled Liver Cancer Patient Education and Medical Professional Awareness Project. With this grant, Blue Faery can update our HCC patient education brochure, print it in even more languages, and send two representatives to the 2012 Gastrointestinal Cancer Symposium this January in San Francisco. Blue Faery thanks Bayer for their generous support of our mission.

Blue Faery grants new research award

1 October 2011

Dr. Daiki Miki of the Laboratory for Digestive Diseases, Center for Genomic Medicine, RIKEN, has been given the first Blue Faery Young Investigator Liver Cancer Research Award. Dr. Daiki Miki's research identifies genetic polymorphisms associated with liver cancer and viral hepatitis in order to develop new therapies. The doctor will receive the award at the AASLD Liver Meeting in November.
