Blue Faery Award Winner

Blue Faery gave its first annual Blue Faery Award for Excellence in Liver Cancer Research to Dr. Snorri S. Thorgeirsson, a doctor with the National Cancer Institute who has devoted his career to fighting liver cancer. Blue Faery celebrated Dr. Thorgeirsson’s achievement by donating toward his innovative research and by giving him a commemorative Blue Faery Award plaque. Dr. Thorgeirsson is delighted and honored to be the recipient of the award and has stated, "I am of course aware and deeply respectful of your untiring dedication to advance research in Liver Cancer. This award is certainly a stimulus to vigorously continue our quest to conquer this dreadful disease.” Blue Faery chose to announce the award on Adrienne's birthday; she would have been 23 years old today had she survived her battle with HCC.

Blue Faery exhibits at Liver Meeting

This past weekend, Blue Faery had the pleasure of hosting a booth at the annual AASLD Liver Meeting at San Francisco's Moscone Center. We are pleased that we had the opportunity to meet doctors from around the world and inform them about our HCC patient education brochure as well as our Blue Faery Award. You can keep updated on the latest Blue Faery news by signing up for our Blue Faery quarterly eNewsletter -- just click on "All Blue Faery News" to receive the quarterly edition. If you want to receive specific email alerts about certain topics (such as patient information, volunteer events, research grants and more), be sure to check those boxes, too!

Ralphs updates their community program

If you shop at Ralphs, you can now donate to Blue Faery every time you swipe your Ralphs card. All you have to do is visit Ralphs and then login into your Ralphs card account (or create one). You will need the number on your Ralphs card, and then you will need to search for "Blue Faery" under community programs. If you cannot find Blue Faery, search by our nonprofit organization number -- 90759. In less than 30 seconds, you will become a Ralphs community program participant.
